The Galactic Federation acknowledges this transmission, please PM the coordinates of your planned attack, as we would like to evacuate civilians from the area and get any friendly vessels out of area prior to attack. Also please post war declarations in the "Territories" section in the future. Thanks!  |

Mr. Jack,
The Moon Bears respect you as the faction standing as government of Retheria. What the Moon Bears have trouble respecting is the idea that you expect us to "request" of offensive action against 3rd party factions. Perhaps it is a misunderstanding of where we stand in accordance to your federation. We, The Moon Bears, are a faction that stands apart from your Government. We have a standing peace treaty between you and the Vanguard; therefore we agree to abide by your rules. Also we see no need to share exact coordinates for our operations.
We are not insulting your capabilities as a government. We simply do not see ourselves as under it. If you intend to defend a target, or intervene with our actions, then you can declare your intent to do so In response to our decree of action. We will take into consideration your position on the matter, and reevaluate the situation. Any factions that are under your or the vanguard's protection will be treated as if apart of your own. A list of factions in accordance to their stands with the Federation may prove to be quite helpful in the future. We hope to stay at peace with your organization, and also wish it luck.

Mod Note: Fantastic reply in RP Aprzy! Jack was referring to this forum, retheria.boards.net/board/12/territory-reports it is a private forum only staff can view. Any posts made in that forum is viewable only by the poster and staff. This gives us the ability to know if someone claims they have been griefed, etc. I hadn't posted the information post in there yet as it hadn't come up yet. Apologies! Please post with the cords you are attacking (this is for the staff, and the Federation has zero access to this) link to the thread you declared war on. Then when you do attack if you can post that it was completed. This is mainly to prevent unneeded admin involvement from a valid attack, and griefing/complaints |

Thank you for the timely response. I believe that there has been a misunderstanding, there was a poor choice of words in response to your Declaration. It is the policy not to intervene in affairs that do not concern the Federation directly, so in no way were we giving "permission" for an attack on another faction, group, etc. We will not intervene unless Galactic Law has been broken, which in this case it has not been. I was simply requesting coordinates of the attack as a courtesy due to our peace alliance. I would like to just make sure that all Federation vessels are not in the area you plan to attack, as we do also have a standing peace agreement with Upright Citizen's Brigade. However, Upright Citizen's Brigade has not contacted us for assistance, nor have they answered any of our hails either. Therefore, per Federation policy, there will be no intervention on whatever action you take against that faction. Please excuse this as just a misunderstanding as we are still new to this sector and getting established also. I do not believe that you meant any disrespect in your previous transmission and it was not taken that way, but in the future, I would appreciate to be addressed as Commander Calico.
