Retheria is a white listed RP-PVP server dedicated to players who want a interactive and fun experience with space engineers with the added depth of political, military and economical gain.
The server is setup to continuity expand as the player base grows with a central asteroid cluster that is considered the neutral zone with players starting in or around this area as a focus point.
This server is intended to be family friendly and a place to enjoy the game and its community. These rules are put in place to help foster this environment, and allow a consistent experience. Violators of these rules will be held accountable by the group administrators.
General Rules
Restricted items
As this is a Alpha stage game, some items create lag more then others. As such it is required we monitor some items to maintain a positive experience for our players. These items are not outright banned, however they do require administrator approval. If approval is not granted, during maintenance or review these items will be deleted and can cause a ship to break a part of otherwise be destroyed.
Different Type of Zones
There are three types of asteroid clusters in the server, and each one has a few additional rules to follow when entering a specific zone.
Attacking Another Player/Faction
In order to attack another faction’s base you must be at war with them
You must have a legitimate RP reason to declare war or attack another player
Claiming Faction Territory
You must be an official faction in order to claim territory beyond your home base. If you are not an official faction, your territory claim is limited to your home base. This can include an asteroid if your base is built within 50 meters of said asteroid
Claim Distance & Structures
Station Classification
Bases, outposts, and other stations must be clearly marked to identify their purpose
Secret Bases do not need to be marked, but if they have no name they are open to attack like any other unmarked object

[*]Factions require 3 members or more.
[*]Stealing, or hacking other players items is not permitted without declaration of war. See Here
[*]Remember this is a place for everyone to have fun, do not ruin others enjoyment.
[*]All items must have a Beacon, either complete or incomplete to save from being deleted during maintenance. These can only broadcast the size of your territory.
[*]Beacons used for saving, should be set to 1, or not completed. (Reduces lag, and screen clutter)

Different Type of Zones
There are three types of asteroid clusters in the server, and each one has a few additional rules to follow when entering a specific zone.
- [*]Center Cluster: This area is intended as a no fire zone of the server. No combat of any kind is to take place within 5km of the center cluster, this allows a safe haven for new players to start and for factions to meet and trade with one another.
[*]Resource Cluster: There is a large abundant of the major resources in these clusters, combat only takes place in this area by factions that are officially at war with one another. Civilian casualties are a possibility, but are to be kept to a minimum.
[*]Faction Cluster: These clusters have been claimed by a faction, as such anything build in cluster is under their control. Any non-faction member is at risk of attack by entering these clusters. These are clearly identified by a beacon that broadcasts no further then their cluster.
Faction Rules & Guidelines
[*]Official/Unofficial Factions
[*]If an official faction’s roster drops below 3 members, it has 1 week to return its roster to 3 players or more
[*]Failure to do so will result in loss of official faction status and their ability to claim territory outside their home base
[*]Faction members who go inactive for a period of 30 days without prior notice will be forcibly dropped from the faction roster
[*]To be regarded as an official faction, a faction must have at least three active members.
[*]Unofficial Factions
Considered factions, but cannot claim territory outside of their home base
May reside in an official factions territory if agreed upon
If asked to leave territory you must comply or risk being attacked
Attacking Another Player/Faction
In order to attack another faction’s base you must be at war with them
You must have a legitimate RP reason to declare war or attack another player
- [*]If a member of a faction declares war when they are not allowed to, the other faction is only allowed to defend their base from said member (this cannot be treated as an immediate declaration of war)
[*]At least one of member of a faction being attacked must be online at the time of the attack
[*]Trespassers on the territory of a faction are vulnerable to attack by that faction *WITHOUT WARNING*
[*]If a faction is not active for 2 weeks; with administration approval you are allowed to attack them without announcing it or needing a reason
[*]In order to attack a player/factions main base you must destroy every outpost claiming territory they have
[*]If you are going to attack someone; RP it out with a reason
[*]If you are allies with a faction and are at their base if and when an attack takes place, you are within your rights to assist in the defense of the base without it being considered as a declaration of war by your faction
Claiming Faction Territory
You must be an official faction in order to claim territory beyond your home base. If you are not an official faction, your territory claim is limited to your home base. This can include an asteroid if your base is built within 50 meters of said asteroid
[*]An antenna/beacon clearly indicating your ownership of an area must be visible to all persons within that area
[*]For territory claims to become official and valid, they must be reported with accurate coordinates obtained via /pos in the ‘Territory Reports’ subforum. Failure to do so will result in the claim being dropped
[*]Territory can be taken from another faction through diplomatic negotiations or war
[*]In order to take territory from another faction, you must destroy or take complete control over the outpost which is laying claim to that section of territory
[*]If you build an outpost and it intersects another faction’s territory, the faction with the original outpost retains territory claim
[*]You may build an outpost inside the territory of an allied or neutral faction and consider it an embassy. This must be approved by the faction whose territory it is within
[*]Embassy outposts cannot claim territory and must be marked as embassies [EMB]
[*]As with players, ships, and bases, all factions must state their intentions to take territory by force in the forum 24 hours before engaging the territory’s owner
Claim Distance & Structures
[*]Portable outposts, or outposts which can relocate under their own power, must remain stationary for at least 24 hours and be converted to a station via merge block before they are permitted to claim territory. These structures can then claim 3000 meters of territory and also cannot be built/deployed outside the +/6000 Z axis of other outposts
[*]Territory cannot be claimed at >+/-6000 Z axis. Assets of a faction outside of this zone cannot claim territory but are considered property of the faction and standard rules of war apply
[*]Home bases can claim up to a 6000 meter radius of territory, but always from +6000 to -6000 on the Z axis
[*]Outposts can claim up to a 3000 meter radius of territory
[*]The entirety of your territory must be clearly marked with a public beacon
[*]You cannot build outposts within another faction’s territory with the exception of mutually approved embassies
[*]A faction may only take one territory claim per day. If multiple outposts are constructed during a day, only one outpost can claim territory each day
